Lil’ Kim Sparks Controversy in Dancing With Stars

Twitter was all abuzz about Lil’ Kim’s appearance on the 10th Anniversary episode of Dancing With Stars, where she performed “Lady Marmalade” with Patti LaBelle and Amber Riley. Her performance, however, was not the source of the controversy. Twitter users were disputing the rap artist’s contention that she has never had plastic surgery. In March 2013, Lil’ Kim tweeted via the Hoffington Post that “Years & years they have been photoshopping pics of me & sabotaging my image,”

Looking at Lil’ Kim, now 40, it’s painfully obvious that she has had plastic surgery and filler treatments to alter her facial appearance. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the results have been disastrous. Her rhinoplasty surgery has rendered her nose unnaturally pinched and narrowed, almost certainly causing nasal obstruction. The cheek augmentation with fillers such as Voluma, Juvaderm, and Restylane is excessive and unsettling.

She would do well, if she allowed the fillers to dissipate and underwent revision rhinoplasty to improve the appearance and functionality of her nose. In the end, the old adage, “less is more”, holds true with cosmetic enhancements.
