Skin cancer reconstruction in this patient was accomplished through a facelift type operatio. Face skin was moved laterally to fill the defect near the ear.


Small mid cheek defects such as this can be very effectively reconstructed by moving adjacent skin.


The skin cancer defect in this patient straddles the area between the upper lip and the cheek.


Although the skin cancer defect is this patient was fairly large, it could be closed by tranfer of adjacent lower face skin.
